Workout DVD review.

Well, over the past week I've been trying to really get stuck into exercising more as well as healthy eating. I'm currently sporting some stiff, sore legs due to this workout DVD:

It's a half an hour DVD in total, with 10 minute segments focusing on (as the title suggests) your belly, butt & thighs. It's pretty interactive. She throws encouraging slogans as you all the while & counts down. Sometimes she's sneaky and tells you you're going to do 10 reps, then says 'ok! 5 more!'.

It's actually really hard! When I started it, I thought yeah ok, this is do-able, but some of the things they get you to do with your legs are insane! There's two women behind her, one doing the beginner version and one doing sets that are meant to push you to the limit. Even though I'm a beginner, I follow the main lady who's demonstrating an intermediate level.

All in all it's really thorough. The 10 minutes just fly by without realising it. One of the best things about it though is being able to do in the comfort of your own home, with no one watching you. I'm hoping to do it most nights and once these sore legs pass I'll enjoy it even more.

Anyone else using workout DVD's they'd recommend?

  1. Eeep, I'm rubbish at working out! I have a few DVDs but I think I've done them once then given up.

  3. @Jen - yeah I'm a bit like that too but I'm hoping to do a bit better this time!

@Sarah - Oooh I didn't know she had one of those. Knowing you'd be looking at someone as pretty as her would be motivation alone!
